Founded in 2022, Cities of Refuge in Charlotte was birth in the heart and mind of an immigrant pastor. His thoughts and ideas were developed and researched by a group of students finishing their MBA education at Queens University in Charlotte. Together, the small idea became a clear mandate to serve the immigrant community with three basic needs: language acquisition, immigration navigation, and mental health resourcing.
Julia was born to military parents and has lived and flourished in many parts of the country. We have a dedicated staff of certified ESL instructors ready to teach and engage the students of East Charlotte. These instructors not only teach, but pray for their students and the challenges that they are facing outside of the classroom.
